How To Lose A Gut?

Yes the midriff section of our body is getting much attention these
days, and there is no magic pill as of now for the ever-increasing
number of menopots and muffin tops popping up.
Yet, how can you tell if you have a beer belly or just carrying a muffin top?
Menopot vs. Pot Belly
The “menopot” or “muffin top” is the layer of fat that lies on top of
the abdomen, and men can get it too over the age of 40. The “beer
belly” or “pot belly”, a.k.a visceral fat lies beneath the abdominal
wall and surrounds vital organs thereby making it much more dangerous
than menopot fat.

When lying down, menopot fat slides to the side while the beer belly stays lifted high to the sky.
A healthy body eats healthy foods, and embraces healthy leanness,
where the fat on and in our bodies isn’t killing us. A winning formula
for healthy leanness is a combination of:
1. Aerobic exercise to enhance long-term fat burning
2. Anaerobic exercise to build and increase fat-burning muscle
3. Prudent eating and changing toxic eating habits
For any of us trying to lose weight and look great (after 50) we
should look to maintain our lean muscle mass as we get older. Crunches
alone won’t rid the menopot or the muffin top, it’s weight training that
melts the pot and the top.
So until the magic pill to help with calorie restriction,
leaving the chips alone is the choice I make. In the U.S. we are
bombarded with carbohydrate commercialism. Which often seems like that
carbs make up the good stuff. Yet, health problems are created when we
eat too many of the wrong carbohydrates. Be mindful and watch calorie
intake, and decrease the consumption of white carbohydrates, especially
white sugar.
